In a few weeks, our daughter will already be attending pre-school at Westhill International School (WIS). Choosing among three schools in Cavite, which you can read from my previous post here, is a tough decision. But factors which will affect our lifestyle were considered. Hallway in Westhill (notice that they display student's artwork/activities outside each classroom) Westhill International School is located in Salitran IV, Dasmarinas, Cavite. It is founded by a ... Our Chosen Pre-School in Cavite
Time flies so fast and our unica hija will already be going to school in June! We had three options: Statefields School, Elizabeth Seton School - South and Westhill International School. I've heard lots of good feedback on these schools and they are all competitive. Now, the question is how to choose the best preschool for Kelsea. Photo credit: Single Minded Women.com There are a lot of factors to consider which in the end we are all hoping that our child will be at her best in that pre-school ... [ Read More ]
McDonald’s Pontevia is Now Open!
When you travel from Las Pinas or Muntinlupa to Cavite using Daanghari Rd., the well-known establishments you'll only see are Seaside (Dampa), King Bee Restaurant, and 3 gas stations (Caltex, Shell and Petron). An additional to these landmarks is McDonald's Daang-Hari or better know as McDonald's Pontevia. It is exactly located in front of Petron and near Fernbrook Gardens, a popular wedding venue. People from San Pedro, Laguna can also enjoy food from this fast food by using Daang Reyna Rd. As ... [ Read More ]
South Side Dining: Sicily
Sicily is a newly-opened restaurant in Festival Mall in Alabang. It is exactly located in between Yellow Cab and Cabalen at the Commerce Exit of the mall. We were curious when it was still closed. They had a teaser banner that said, "Something green is coming..." (something like that). So when it opened, we just had to try it. Menu ... [ Read More ]
Art Attack: Colorful Butterfly
Being a work-at-home mom makes me think of activities for my kiddo to keep herself busy. I bought her art materials for our art attack sessions. Lately, she's fond of asking for paper and her kiddie scissors to practice her cutting skills. And guess what she wants to do with all those cut-outs? Stick them on top of each other and call it her "artwork". The remaining little ones on the floor are already confettis :)This is my first post on one of the many crafts and artworks of Kelsea (with the ... [ Read More ]
Barney Space Adventures in Manila This Weekend!
Barney, the purple dinosaur who's almost every kid's favorite, will be in Manila on April 26-29 in Aliw Theater for the Barney Space Adventures The Musical. Guess who's excited? Me and Kelsea! Yes, we are going to watch with Kelsea's friends and their mommies (who are my girlfriends). The daddies get to hang-out somewhere (haha boy's day out!) while waiting for us. One of our e-tickets I got our tickets months ago. I was too excited (LOL!). I bought only the Patron side tickets online thru ... [ Read More ]
Summer 2012: Balai sa San Juan (Part 2)
It was time for the beach! I brought three (3) swim suits for Kelsea - a rashguard, a 1-piece and a 2-piece swim suit. Kelsea eagerly wanted to go to the beach so by 3pm, the three of us walked to the beach while the rest of the family was still taking a nap. Father and daughter going to the beach My time to pose since I'm always the photographer among us 3. The beach sand in Balai was brown and soft as compared to the beach shore in Laiya which has white sand but lots of pebbles or small ... [ Read More ]
Summer 2012: Balai sa San Juan (Part 1)
Our first "beach" summer getaway last April 7 (Black Saturday) and 8 (Easter Sunday) was at Balai sa San Juan (formerly called Balai sa Laiya). They changed the name of the resort when they transferred to a new location in Brgy. Abung in 2011. Trivia: "Balai" is a Visayan word which means house or bahay in Tagalog. From Alabang, it was only a 2-2.5hr travel via SLEX and Star Toll (that's already with a stop over in Puregold, San Juan) instead of the usual 3-3.5hr trip to Laiya. Balai sa San ... [ Read More ]
