How are you all? I miss blogging! That's sharing stories and documenting our adventures. Did you miss Glamma Momma? :) It has been two years since my last post. There were a lot of events during those years and one of the most life-changing event that happened was our migration to Down Under. Yes, mate! My family and I are now in Australia :) They say life starts at 40. Yes, it did! Mark and I turned 40 years old last 2020 and that's when our new life in a new country started. Taken in ... Are you the kind of mom who loves to take family pictures like me? I actually have thousands of photos in my hard drive but I was only able to make two photobooks which is of our family travel adventures. I used two different photobook software for those two. Recently, a friend recommended a new photobook service, Photokeeps, which I eagerly tried at ... [ Read More ]
Hong Kong, Here We Come!
It was my childhood dream to go to Disneyland. And this dream became a reality last October 31 to November 3, 2012 when my whole family (Mark, Kelsea and I together with my parents, sister, nephew and aunt) went to Hong Kong. That's three senior citizens, two pre-schoolers and three adults in their 30s :) I booked our flight three months before our chosen date. We particularly chose those dates because the kids had no school, adults had no office work and it was a long weekend. The most ... [ Read More ]
HK Day 4 – Tsim Sha Tsui and Back Home
It was our last day in Hong Kong. We got an afternoon flight going back to Manila so we decided to go to Tsim Sha Tsui (TST) to go look at the shops (and do a little shopping). Upon exiting the TST MTR station, we walked along the famous Nathan Road. There were so many kinds of shops in this road and also hostels like the also famous notorious Chungking Mansions. One of the shops we frequent to in Hong Kong is Giordano since it's way cheaper there than in Manila. My mom, dad and ... [ Read More ]
HK Day 3 – Tao Heung, Star Ferry, The Peak
Our third day in Hong Kong was Kelsea's 4th Birthday :) This trip was our birthday gift for her. During our Disneyland trip part 1 and part 2 on our second day, I bought Disney souvenirs before we left the park as additional birthday gifts. But it was a secret so she would be surprised. So when she woke up on her special day, I gave her the goodies from Disney. Happy 4th Birthday Kelsea! Toy Story and Brave are her favorite movies. So I bought a Toy Story tumbler with ... This is the continuation of our Disneyland adventure. Check out my previous post here about the first attractions we saw in the park. TOMORROWLAND After strolling around Grizzly Gulch area, we went to the spacious area just in front of Sleeping Beauty's castle to have our pics taken. The King is taking the pic of the queen and princess :) Tomorrowland is the future. In this area, you'll see the Space Mountain, ... [ Read More ]
HK Day 2 – Disneyland (Part 1)
Warning: This post is photo-heavy but kid-friendly :) Since I was a kid, I've always dreamed of going to Disneyland. When my mom, sister and I went to the US last 2006, we didn't have the chance to go to Disneyland. Now I know the reason why. God planned for me to go to there with my daughter and hubby and the rest of the our Hong Kong trip entourage :) The main reason for visiting the home of Mickey and Minnie Mouse is to celebrate Kelsea's 4th birthday. I wanted it to be memorable for ... [ Read More ]
HK Day 1 – HKIA, Yau Ma Tei, Temple Street & Mongkok Night Market
The flight from Manila to Hong Kong (HK) took about 2 hours. We were supposed to arrive in HK around 7:30am but our Cebu Pacific flight was delayed for 2 hours so we landed in HKIA around 9:30am. Kelsea was well-behaved all throughout the flight. I prepared reading and activity materials for her to keep her busy. ARRIVAL AT THE HONG KONG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (HKIA) It was Mark and Kelsea's first time in HK while it's my second after 8 years. Not-so-great family picture in HK ... [ Read More ]
