After going to Manila Zoo and Kinder Zoo which I blogged about here and here, we were all exhausted and hungry so we went to San Miguel by the Bay located at the back of SM Mall of Asia (MOA). You can never miss this place because you will see the big ferris wheel. There is paid parking in this area. You can even come from SM MOA and walk going here using the overpass.
We wanted to ride the ferris wheel but it’s a bit pricey at Php 150 per head. It was out of our budget so we just admired it and headed straight to Seaside (dampa) to have our lunch.
We chose to eat at Julie’s since this is owned by our college batch mate’s mom. You can go to the market place near the restaurants to buy fish, meat, chicken and pork and have it “paluto” in your chosen restaurant. Before when we held a family occasion in Julie’s, our batch mate’s mom told us that it will save us money if we buy from other wet markets because the ones in San Miguel by the Bay is a little more expensive. But we didn’t have time that day so our ordered food was freshly bought there. The restaurant will just charge you for the cooking fee.
We usually order the Garlic Buttered Shrimp every time we eat here or in any Seaside branch. We also ordered Sinigang na Bangus, Chicken Barbecue, rice, and a liter of softdrinks. For a total of Php1,800 for all of these for 10pax is not that bad 🙂 Thanks for the discount!
We were all so full so after our lunch we went outside to enjoy the fresh air. We sat near the bay to get a nicer view. The kids enjoyed watching the ships from afar and pointing to some which they referred to as Captain Hook’s pirate ship. Warning: Sometimes it smells bad here. Lucky us it wasn’t smelly that day.
Looking around the area, there are a lot of activities to do especially for kids. There were rides like caterpillar, bump cars, carousel and more along the whole stretch of San Miguel by the Bay.
One thing caught our curiosity. Have you tried the real bungee jumping where you jump off a very high bridge and then hung upside down where your head is already very near a body of water? I haven’t tried that yet but hubby and I already experienced the G-MAX Reverse Bungy during our honeymoon trip in Singapore. It totally blew our heads off with so much fun! So when we saw Bungee Fun, we wanted to try to out.
It costs Php 120 to jump this high using a trampoline. The harness is being controlled and you get to enjoy the fun for three minutes. You can try doing somersaults or flying position.
For the kids, we let them rode on these trucks for Php 50 each.
It was a very long day for us. Tiring but we all had fun in our own little ways. What’s important for us is that the kids enjoyed this family day 🙂
