It was again one of the days when I need to prepare breakfast fast because we need to see a Pulmonologist for Mark’s cough in the morning. At times like this, I’d like to experiment again with pancakes. You can see the first one here. Now, I was inspired by Faye’s Mickey Mouse pancakes for Maia.
This is my favorite pancake. The serving is just right for 2 adults and a toddler (soon-to-be preschooler). You just need a medium egg, water and oil.

Here’s the first pancake. Looks perfect with a big circle and two small ones for the ears.

But when I flipped, it doesn’t look perfect at all LOL!
Is it still Mickey Mouse? |
Then I told myself, this is not Mickey Mouse anymore. More of like a teddy bear. So I made three teddys that will show Kelsea another concept of what a family is.

Next, I wanted to make a flower pancake. So it should have one big circle and 6 small ones around it as petals. But I stopped making the last 2 petals because I thought it really didn’t look like a flower at all. But I discovered that the unfinished flower pancake can be used as a teddy bear’s body.

And to make Kelsea more happy and excited to eat breakfast, I made the teddy look more realistic by making a face…a not-so-perfect one. I used Hershey’s syrup. It was hard to control that’s why it looked like this….

Well, practice makes perfect. There’s always next time for another pancake project 🙂
